About Us

Situated within the Governor's Office of Federal Relations, the Governor's Grants Office (GGO) tracks federal funding opportunities and supports state agencies and instrumentalities in their pursuit of these opportunities.

Section1

Our Mission

In furtherance of its mission, the GGO leads the Governor’s Federal Investment Team (FIT), a working group made up of designees representing each state agency that meets bi-weekly to share updates, elevate challenges, and exchange insight, experience, and best practices. The overarching goal of the Governor’s FIT Team—and the GGO as a whole—is to facilitate inter-agency collaboration and promote an integrated, whole-of-state approach to leveraging as many federal dollars as possible for the State of Maryland.

The GGO also maintains this online directory of funding-related resources available to the public through Maryland’s state agencies and the federal government.
